Cases of cyclosporiasis, a nasty parasitic infection that causes “explosive” watery diarrhea, have sickened dozens of people in Michigan and other parts of the United States.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a report Wednesday indicating cases of a parasitic infection that causes “explosive” watery diarrhea are on the rise in the United States.

"Now, Cyclospora is different because it can really linger, it can actually last for a week or even longer, and it's characterized by diarrhea, and really not so much upper GI or vomiting type symptom...
